The Seven Woes: Part Two

3. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are. Matthew 23:15 NIV

• Don't become 'Overly Zealous' ○ The desire to be superior or be exalted causes you to roam the land seeking a following. Often time the issue comes in because you come to lift or promote yourself more than the name Jesus. Leader have to follow before they lead. ○ Romans 10:2 NIV - Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. ○ Romans 10:2 KJV - For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge

• Being an Evangelist or Evangelizing Tips ○ First, allow me to break this spirit of entitlement. Because some churches have grown outrageous by give every leader a title. Might i suggest an "Evangelist" isn't a title or position, it's an assignment. Your assignment is to win souls outside of those who already believe. Even as a believer, our goal and duty to God is to witness about His love and might. Often times, we attempt to do thing without being charged with the GRACE and authority to do so. Thereby bring a worse damnation upon ourselves. Roaming without principle, charge, or proper practice only produces a duplication of sin. ○ (Context) Acts 19:15 NLT - A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered. Acts of the Apostles 19:13‭-‬16 NLT ○ (Pretext) Acts 19:11 - Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Acts 19:11‭-‬13 NKJV

• Uncircumcised Leaders ○ When we are not submitted to a leader, we will lead ourselves. Often times, we quote the bible by saying our ways are not His way and our thoughts are not His thoughts - And True Enough We Believe What We Say. However, instead of going with His thoughts and ways; we make the mistake for choosing our own method. Therefore we line up different engagements because we want to be seen and what to be important. "What's a leader without a following" ? So, instead of get under someone with a following - to learn how gain a following - we just do our own thing an hope they come. Going from church to church preacher for fans! And those fans follow you to he'll because you justify their insecurities. So because you was zealous, you jump out there and started preaching, then Sis. Watermelon came to follow you. So then she following you and you have no one to follow. So you leading her somewhere you don't know where to go. And then as a result Sis. Watermelon trying to endorse, support and build your vision but ain't nothing happen be use you don't really have vision, you just walking... a Leader is a person who can lead other down a path that has been paved our, or in other words a path with vision. Don't nobody want somebody driving their car who can see where they going. As a leader, you seat in the seat of Moses, basically driving the car for those who chose to come to Christ. But how can you drive someone else if you have been taught how to drive. God requires circumcised leader. Leader willing to yield and surrender. The hardest thing for (someone who thinks they're) a leader, is to release their power or authority. But as children of God we have to remember, we don't have the power. We don't even submit to proper order in the church. (Imma get in trouble for this but whatever.) The Apostle is not the alpha position or Top dog position in the church or Five fold. Yes, it would sound good. But it's wrong. Whenever you want to find out God's way of doing thing. Remember the law of first mention. What office or ministry was first constituted by God. "The Prophet." Who sent the Apostle out, Jesus - A Prophet. (Matthew 10:1-3) They were never apostle until Jesus charge them with power to do miracles, signs and wonder. Apostle, is not an title or position, it is an assignment. I'm going stop right there because I could go on and on but i know how the attention span get when you're read. Therefore, I pray this blesses you.
