Let's Be Balanced

Recently events in American have caused many leaders, both in the secular world and amongst the church world - to speak out against Our 45th President. Now honestly, I can expect disrespect for leaders in the secular community. However, what baffles me is that spiritual leaders are consistently speaking out against anything uttered by the current national leader. Pastor, and preachers - who applauded Obama, and never spoke against him - even as He condone same-sex marriage are the same people condemning Trump for standing up for patriotism. We find excuses to dishonor this leader but excuse the leader that looked like us. Many Christian unintentionally condemn other for what they put in their mouth. Yet the Word of God says 'it's not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him but that which comes out of it." With this being a universal, but spiritual principle many people would expect a leader, of any kind to carefully watch what he says or how he says it.

With that being said, our last president openly and proudful endorsed same-sex relationships. Now anyone that has been in the American church older than a day knows most christians despises same-sex relations. Which leads me to say, more often than not you can walk into a church and be preached about for your attraction to the same sex rather than being preached about issues lying, stealing, jealousy or anything else we deem as a negative action. Point is, Barack Obama, endorsed, sanctioned, and paved the way for same-sex marriage, yet not many secular nor spiritual leaders spoke out against him, his actions or his words. On the contrary, Donald Trump calls a group of protesters "Sons of Bitches" and we're all upset... Like bruh really, just chill.

Yes, His delivery was completely wrong. Trust me, I would know. People often attack me, not because of what I said, but how I said or presented it. Trump was truthful in expressing his thoughts over his pulpit, which is often what our Christian leaders do. Christian leaders bash and condemn others for not adhering to their doctrine or rules. Christian leaders devalue others by telling them "they should or they are going to hell" because of XYZ. Yet, our christian leaders are upset because the President said to "kick the sons of bitches out, tell them you're fired". When in actuality, they do the same thing but with a more polished delivery. Christian leaders often tell their leaders "we will sit you down if you don't do as we like." Yet the same leaders are upset at the President for telling other leaders to fire, suspend, or in other words 'sit them down' for their lack of whatever... So what makes Trump different?

Obama we love.

Trump we despise.

That is becoming sadly humorous!

The bible says this: 'if believers only love those who are like them, how much different are they from the sinner. For even sinners love and respect their own kind.'

Where are the preachers who would teach this #TRUTH ?

(Some black people need to realize they're just as racist as the people they accuse.)

You can't fight foolishness with foolishness.

Where do you get off telling folks they need to respect their pastor if the pastors are disrespecting the president. Regardless if he wrong or not...

Why? Because the bible says...

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. Romans 13:1-2 NLT

Therefore, if the bible says to submit, who are we to argue. As adults, we should have the ability to disagree with someone without discrediting or devaluing them or their position. People are discrediting this man. People are devaluing His office, yet seek the respect of a leader from others. If you disrespect him, you open the door for people to have a lack of respect for you and your office.

Moral of the Story: A Head has Two Eyes But One Mouth, because it's okay to have two different views as long as you have one voice. As leaders, we should never public go against another leader. Whether in our area or not. Real leadership should be able to effectively talk or attempt to influence the views of the other leader without confessing the body. Because truth be told, that is what our Christian leaders are doing. You going against another leader gives our body and anybody else a reason to go against our head.

If His vision is Making American Great, do that without publicly going against his method.

Since people are concerned, frustrated and worried about going back into slavery, here's a scripture to help comfort your transition...

"You who are slaves must submit to your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you—not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel. For God is pleased when conscious of his will, you patiently endure unjust treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps." 1 Peter 2:18‭-‬21 NLT

You may not like it, but it's what God said - not your pastor.
